The O.K. Wishing Well has a Temporary Home

Management of the Modbury Branch of the Bendigo Bank have allowed us to place our Wishing Well in their bank for a trial period. Rob and Keith located the item in their Branch outlet on Monday 14 October 2015.

Bendigo Bank, Modbury Branch

We are really appreciative of the ongoing support of the wonderful people at the local Bendigo Bank Branch.

For many years they have supported the Rotary Youth Driver Awareness (RYDA) sessions that the Rotary Clubs in our area have run for the benefit of local High School students about to embark on the hazardous path of driving on our roads.

Since the scheme was launched in our region in March 2011 we have held 8 full-day practical and theory interactive sessions for the benefit of 585 local students.

The Bendigo Bank have on each occasion provided staff and equipment and enthusiasm for the project.

We were delighted to welcome Elena Caputo and Emma Newton to our Meeting on 28 September 2015 when Elena spoke about a project of garden renovation being planned by local Primary School students at a Country Fire Service station in the north-eastern foothills.

They don’t just talk about the need for action within the community – they really roll their sleeves up and do something.
